Three months in Bali, a season lived in full.
A complete season — the villa, the schooling, the household, all of it — for families with three months to give Bali, and the intention to spend them well.
The Annum fee covers the curation, Family Host, operating team and orchestration of the season. Living costs — including the villa, household, healthcare, learning and travel — sit separately and are scoped before anything is committed.
What the season holds, in brief.
Every Reset, whatever its reason, follows the same underlying arc. Three months is long enough to actually change a rhythm — but only if the season is shaped, not simply filled. It moves in three movements, roughly a month each.
- I Arriving Letting go. The body lands and begins to sleep; the children settle into a rhythm; the calendar empties of everything that can wait. The work of the first month is mostly the work of slowing down — which is harder, and more important, than it sounds.
- II Deepening Opening. With the family rested, the season opens outward: the regional journey, deeper cultural immersion, and time together finding its stride. A midpoint marker divides the season and recalibrates what the rest of it is for.
- III Carrying it home Integration. The final movement is about what travels home. The practices that worked are made portable; the closeness that returned is given a structure to survive ordinary life; and the season is closed deliberately, so it ends as something kept rather than something merely over.
Whatever a family asks of the season, it shares this spine. What changes is the centre of gravity — where the weight of the three months falls, and the particular thread running through them.
The Reset is three months in Bali, arranged end to end and held with the full weight of The Annum. It is built for families with a defined window — a sabbatical between roles, a decompression after a sale, a deliberate season with a beginning and an end. The same standard of care is shaped deliberately for three months: the villa selected and prepared, the visa pathway coordinated, the household established, suitable learning arranged and the healthcare groundwork put in place. It is not a trial or a taster. It is a complete season, and it is built to be lived in full.
And for all the care underneath it, a Reset is mostly space. The rituals are light — a sitting, a meal, an evening — and the calendar is left deliberately open. You will not be coached, programmed or improved. The conditions are prepared carefully, and the remaining space is left open.
A break gives a family a memory. A season gives it a rhythm to live by.
The thing a Reset changes cannot be changed in a fortnight. For many families, the first weeks are still arrival; three months leaves enough time for a rhythm to form after that. It is long enough to let go properly, settle, and still have the better part of a season left simply to live. It is not an indulgence on top of the idea; it is the idea.
The same care, shaped for a season.
Three months still means a house that is genuinely yours — found and readied with the same care as a year, only held for a season.
Before you arrive
We search against your family’s shape, inspect the house in person, coordinate the terms and arrange appropriate lease and title checks through qualified local advisers where required, and hold it for the three months. The household is set up before you walk in — staff, utilities, internet, the kitchen stocked — so the season begins the moment you arrive, not weeks later.
Through the season
Maintenance and the landlord relationship are ours. If anything isn’t right, we handle it. You spend the three months living, not settling in.
A season has its own visa logic — long enough to need doing properly, short enough that the wrong route wastes the time you came for.
Before you arrive
We work with qualified immigration advisers to identify and coordinate the short-term pathway suited to a three-month stay, and prepare the paperwork in advance. Eligibility, approval and re-entry remain subject to the visa category, current regulations and the Indonesian immigration authorities.
Through the season
Any extension or change is coordinated on your behalf, subject to the relevant regulations, and the immigration detail stays our concern rather than yours for the length of the Reset.
Three months is too short for most school admissions and too valuable to waste — so the Reset treats learning as something to design, not simply place.
Before you arrive
Where an appropriate school offers short-term enrolment, we support the application. Where formal school is not the right fit, we can coordinate a programme of tutors, makers, guides and age-appropriate learning experiences across the island, shaped to the child and the season. These are arranged subject to parent approval, appropriate safeguarding and supervision, and provider availability.
Through the season
We adjust as the weeks find their rhythm, keeping the days full of the right kind of learning — language, craft, the place itself — without it ever feeling like school simply relocated.
The same team that makes a year run makes a season run — every bit as carefully chosen and trusted for three months as for twelve.
Before you arrive
A household team is sourced, reference-checked, interviewed and vetted, transport arranged, sim cards and the practicalities of daily life put in place before you walk in.
Through the season
We help establish clear terms so you are not managing staff day to day, and keep the small machinery of the day running quietly beneath the three months.
A season abroad deserves the same medical certainty as a year — knowing where to go settled well before anyone needs it.
Before you arrive
We help the family identify and arrange appropriate international cover through qualified brokers or insurers, establish provider contacts, and support registration with suitable clinics on the island. We help the family understand the route to specialist or offshore care — Singapore included — if it is recommended by qualified clinicians and the insurer.
Through the season
When a child is unwell, there are provider contacts already established. Practical support is in place should qualified clinicians or the insurer recommend specialist or offshore care. The Annum does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or triage; in an emergency families contact the appropriate provider directly.
The same daily line, for the same reason — so the hundred small questions of a season have somewhere to go.
Through the season
Seven in the morning to nine at night, one number carries the practical things — a booking, a repair, a question with no obvious answer — handled by a team that already knows you, with clear emergency escalation outside those hours. It is not an emergency or medical service. Even a short stay runs lighter for having a single number to call.
Even a season is richer for a little company and one journey worth remembering.
Through the season
Each month an Annum dinner is hosted — a long table at a restaurant we arrange and style, with people from the island and other families in residence; the meal itself is at each family’s own account. The Reset includes a place at every dinner that falls within the season, and the planning and booking of one regional journey, with the direct trip costs paid separately by the family. Company enough to enrich the season, never so much that it crowds it. A short stay need not feel isolated; introductions are made where there is a genuine fit and the timing aligns.
A season is often when people come to see it with you — and a visit is better for being thought through.
When friends or family visit, we can suggest and coordinate rooms nearby, dining, transport and time away for the parents. All accommodation, transport, childcare, bookings and other third-party costs are paid separately. Any substantial additional planning is scoped in advance.
Rest, reconnection, and an unhurried rhythm a family rarely gets.
A Reset holds a handful of threads, woven lightly through the days and weighted to the reason you have come: time for the body and for stillness; the unhurried family life ordinary weeks squeeze out, and time for the couple; the culture of the island, entered with respect; and one curated journey within the season. The most important is often the one with the least in it — genuinely unstructured time, defended on purpose. No family does all of them in full; the balance is set to the family in front of us.
You will not be coached, programmed or improved — only given the conditions, and the time for the rest to follow.
The ResetThere is no standard Reset — only your family, and the reason you have come.
The same three-month shape, weighted differently for four different reasons. We find which it is for you in the first conversation, and shape the whole season around it.
The Reconnection
For a family wanting more unhurried time together after an especially busy chapter. The weight falls on connection, the couple and a slower pace.
The Restoration
For a family arriving after an unusually demanding chapter and wanting the season to move slowly. The emphasis falls on rest, gentle routines, unstructured time and practical ease.
The New Chapter
For the family at a threshold — between jobs, before a move, an empty nest approaching — using the season to decide what comes next. The weight falls on culture, perspective and shared thinking.
The Immersion
For the family wanting to give their children one immersive, formative season while the window is open. The weight falls on culture, nature and shared discovery.
The island becomes the classroom.
Three months is often too short to slot into a school year — so where school doesn’t fit, we build the learning around the island instead. Bahasa lessons, mornings with craftspeople and at the markets, and the cultural life of the island where the family is welcomed into it. For some children, the island offers a different and valuable kind of learning alongside — or instead of — a formal school term.
The Reset is complete in itself — a full season, nothing held back, built to stand on its own. A family that comes for a season may decide to stay on for the Year, or return for one later; we will be glad when they do, but it is never the point. If a season is the window you have, it is a season spent completely.
A small number of families each season. Introductions and considered direct enquiries are welcome.
The Annum fee is USD 22,000, inclusive of any applicable tax. It covers the curation, Family Host, operating team and orchestration of the season — the work of designing and running it around your family.
Living costs — including the villa, household, healthcare, learning and travel — sit separately and are scoped before anything is committed, so you have a clear view of the expected costs. Where The Annum receives a partner fee or applies a coordination margin, it is disclosed; recommendations are always made on fit, not remuneration.
Three months in Bali, spent completely.
The fee is shown above; third-party costs are scoped with you on the first call. Where a Bali season isn’t the right fit, we’ll say so kindly.
